You’ve heard of Woodstock, but what about Chickenstock? The Chickenstock Festival is an “edu-party” to celebrate and and educate the community about urban chicken raising and sustainable living in Durham. Durham has an ordinance allowing homeowners to keep “backyard” hens within the city; Chickenstock was developed by roost-owners who want to spread the word on urban chicken roosts. There will be live music from local artists, vendors, and awards for the city’s top roosts. Chickenstock is sponsored by Bull City Chickens and Bull City Burger and Brewery, and will be held at the Brewery on Saturday, October 27th from 4-8 PM.
