Housing Starts Jump To Highest Pace In 4 Years

More construction was started last month on both single-family homes and apartments since July 2008; housing starts jumped 3.6% in October according to the Commerce Department. Permit applications to build single-family homes rose to their highest levels in over four years, and housing starts are 87% above the annual rate of 478,000 in April of 2008, which was the recession low.
