Migration To NC Strong

According to United Van Lines’ 36th annual “migration” study North Carolina holds the #4 spot on the list of top-five inbound states of 2012. The study has tracked migration patterns by state every year since 1977. The study shows the movement of people from the frost belt to the more sun belt states in the South and West. Places like North Carolina are attractive places to move because of their lower housing costs, better climate, diversified and growing economies, as well as maturing manufacturing bases and high technology clusters. There is no better example of this than the Triangle area! Centrally located with easy access to both the beach and the mountains, the Triangle proves to be one of the most highly touted areas in the country to live and work. The combination of Research Triangle Park and low-cost, high-quality living have been consistently driving people to this area for years, with no signs of slowing.
