Preservation Durham Lunch And Learn

Looking to add a little interest to your lunch break? Check out Preservation Durham’s ongoing Lunch and Learn series featuring entertaining and informative lunch-time programs about Durham, its people, and its history. Lunch and Learn takes place on the third Wednesday of alternate months from September through May at Pop’s Restaurant in West Village, and doors open at 11:30 with presentations starting at noon. Be sure to join them on January 16th for the first Lunch and Learn of 2013; featured speaker Jim Wise of the News and Observer will present Trains, Trolleys, and Trams: A History of Transit in Durham. Previous topics have included Documentation of African American Historic Sites, the new Museum of Durham History, Mayberry Modernism, their annual Places in Peril List, and the Restoration of the Roney Fountain at Duke Gardens.

 

Single event tickets are $20 for Preservation Durham members, $18 for senior members over 60, and $25 for non-members. Season passes are available to Preservation Durham members only for $85.
